Our teacher watched our edited piece, and we asked if there was anything that we should change. We made the changes as you can see by the post bellow, but on tuesday the 26th we recorded then monologue again. This time Ben C read it, but he done it in an American accent. We have edited it in, but we need to record a little section that we forgot to put in and another little section of monologue. But without the little section we are missing, it is better already.

Film Classification

We initially planned to make our film a 15-18 classification, but once we had edited, we noticed that we used cocaine ( wasn't real cocaine) in our film which made us think that we would have to make it and 18. We talked to our teacher and she said the " If you dont show anyone taking the grugs it can be a 15" and as there arent any clips of drug taking in our O.T.S we can leave it as a 15.

Changes in the editing process

We finished editing our O.T.S and we let our teacher view it so that she could give us some feed back and some bits to change. Today, we edited again and the changes we made were, we changed the size of all of the clips so that the screen was 'letterbox', we had to change some of the names as our teacher said the same names we appearing to much so we made some names up. We also slowed the names down as before they went to quickly and you didnt have time to read them. Another change was because of the monologue, as the one we had was to short so Ben C spoke instaed of the original person. we havent done this yet but we have taken the sound out, so we just need to put ythe new sound in. We also were told to dub out Marks and Anna's voices and put them in again as they were to quiet. Our teacher also suggested that we turn the brightness down, which we have yet to do as we ran out of time today, it would take a bit of time as we would have to go through every clip and do it for each clip as they vary from what they show and what the brightness is already.

Filming our final piece.

We arranged to meet up on the 27th of december to discuss when we were going to film. I could'nt make it but jayde hudson, ben cawdron and ben hawkins still met up. they sorted out when we were going to film and let me know. We started filming on the 29th of december, round Tom Cowles house, as he was the person who would be acting in our O.T.S. We filmed what we could that day and I think that what we got was good. We started filming when the character woke up. We filmed this quite a few times, because as we filmed, we got new ideas, some we used, some we did'nt. We then filmed when tom walked downstairs and did what we needed him to do. Through out the filming we had new ideas that we tried out. We also had 3 cameras which helped alot as we could shoot what we were filming from 3 different angles and point of views. this meant that when we came to the editing section that we had alot more to go through and pick out. We spent around 4-5 hours on the 1st day and got about 20-30 minutes of footage. This then went into about a 1/2-3/4 of our final edited piece.

We then filmed again on the 5th of January. We had jaydes uncle Mark, and his partner Anna, acting in this part. Jaydes uncle had to do some acting and his partner came in at the end. In this part Tom was the Protagonist, Mark as the antagonist and Anna as the Femme fatale. We had to get some big cushions and put them in bin bags as tom had to fall over, and as his fall was onto concrete, it was a hard fall and it had been snowing so it was clod and icy. We filmed some of this part a few times aswell and the first time mark hit tom in the head be accident and we had some good ideas aswell.

We then edited it opn the 6th of january and put in all the sound affects and music to it. We have a little bit left to do as we need Toms camera to get the footage off his. The final piece is going to be around 1 minute 50 seconds to 2 minutes.
